Where Are The Jobs?

This has been a stressful week. Looking for a job is not easy. Well, looking for jobs is easy enough, finding a job is the hard part. I still haven’t had any luck. I’m kind of limited as to what I can do, thanks to circumstances that aren’t really in my control at the moment. I hope I can find something soon though because things are getting kind of tight financially. It seems like the least amount of money you have, the more things you have to buy. I don’t remember having this many financial obligations when I had a steady job. Or maybe they just weren’t a burden then? Either way, I need a job soon.

I love having access to the Internet because I’ve been able to find a few job leads. Thanks to blogs, social networks and other websites, job listings are a lot more accessible. The only bad thing about that is the competition. Nine times out of ten, if you’ve seen the listing, a ton of other people have seen it as well. I need to start beating these people to the punch. I need my own type of “employee screening” to get ahead of the pack. Hopefully things will pan out soon.

It’s Almost Fall!!!

I’m so happy that Fall is just around the corner. Fall is definitely my favorite season. Nature is so beautiful during that time of the year. I really love how the trees look. I know a lot of people get annoyed when the leaves fall all over the ground, but how can you not deal with that when the leaves are so beautiful!! I think the mess that the leaves make is a really small price to pay to be able to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. I can’t wait!!!

Another reason that I love Fall is the cool, clean air. When you live in the city like I do, you’re not really use to smelling clean air. LOL. Most of the time you try to avoid sniffing the air around here. That’s what’s so great about the fall. Clean air, cool weather, beautiful scenery. You can’t beat it. Fall is also a great time to stock up on humidifier filters before the Winter and it’s cold, dry weather comes and ruins everything!! Hehe

Laboring on Labor Day?

Happy Labor Day, everyone! Do people even celebrate Labor Day? I mean besides the fact that things are closed and you have that day off from work and school. Labor Day is one of those holidays that I always forget about. I usually only remember it because when I was growing up, we used to have to go back to school right after Labor Day. That’s the same reason I remember it now. All of the children in my family will have to start school on Tuesday. The day after Labor Day!

I know a lot of people also like to barbecue on that day. I’m going to spend today cleaning. Booo. I thought the point of Labor Day was to get a break from laboring? Maybe I’m mistaken. LOL. Either way, I’m not looking forward to all of the cleaning and household chores I have to do today. If you guys decide to hang out and barbecue, I hope you all stay safe. No drinking and driving! I don’t want anyone having to call on a Tacoma car accident lawyer because they weren’t acting responsible. Enjoy your day!

Beauty Sleep…

I’m so exhausted. I had a really long day. I’m so happy that tomorrow is a ‘holiday’ because I didn’t get anything accomplished today. My family dropped by and made today a really bad day. I thought they were going to come over early and leave early but they didn’t come over until almost 6 in the evening. When they showed up that late I knew it was bad news. They didn’t end up leaving until after 10p. I’m happy they’re gone now though. I didn’t get to clean up and do some of the things that I planned to do so I’m going to have to do them tomorrow instead. That’s disappointing because I was planning on enjoying the day without having to clean up.

I think I might do some cleaning tonight and sleep in tomorrow. It’s almost 12a now but I’m really not that tired. Hmmm, we’ll see. I need to start getting to bed earlier. When I finally turn 30 I’m going to be buying all kinds of wrinkle creams to help undo the damage that I’m doing now by not getting enough of sleep. I guess I’ll only have myself to blame.
