New Computers Rule!!!

I really miss the days when my computer was new. It used to run so much better than it does now. I wish computers could stay new and running great forever, then I wouldn’t have to keep buying new ones. The warranty isn’t even up on this computer yet and I feel like it’s seen better days. I’ve definitely taken a lot better care of this computer than I did my last one though. My last computer is like a dinosaur now. My mom has it. That computer was OK at the time, but now that I have my current computer I really see how obsolete that computer was right from the start.

When I bought that computer I really didn’t understand a lot about computers so I didn’t make sure that it had a lot of computer memory and hard drive space. That computer didn’t even have a 1GB computer ram! I think it only had 512MB. That’s horrible. That’s why it would always freeze and give me that memory warning whenever I opened multiple files. That was rough. At least this computer is better in that respect, so I can’t complain too much.

No Reason To Hide…

I love my roommates. It’s nice living with people that I can trust. Granted, they are my family, but that’s not the point! I love being able to leave my money and bank cards lying around without fear that someone will mess with my stuff. I can leave my bank records, account information, passwords, and other sensitive documents on my dresser and no one will think twice about touching it. They wont even touch it if I left it inside the kitchen or family room. I like that.

The only bad thing about that is the fact that not everyone is like that. I have to remind myself that I can’t just leave things lying around when strangers visit. Unfortunately not everyone is as trusting as my family. I usually keep my sensitive information in an unlocked safety deposit box on my bedroom floor. Lol, I know that sounds really dumb, but I don’t have the key for the box and I haven’t been able to get a new one. I want something like the mmf drawer. I know they’re not for that purpose, but I like the design!

I See The Light…

I hate turning on lights. I’d never use the light in my bedroom if I didn’t have to. I almost never turn it on unless it’s absolutely too dark to see and the computer light is just not enough. I think my hatred of lights comes from the fact that I have bad migraines and the light makes them worse. We also have really bad lighting in my home. The lighting in the kitchen is my least favorite. I can’t even remember what they call they type of lighting that we have in there, but it seems a little outdated. I never see lighting like that in newer homes and I see why.

The lighting in my room is pretty great but it’s much too bright. It’s perfect for reading and doing things of that nature, but it’s definitely not the type of light you want to have shining down on you when you’re just hanging out or on the computer. It’s blinding. This house could benefit from Dolan Designs lighting. I’d like a new ceiling light or chandelier and we can definitely use new kitchen and bathroom lighting!

No Help At All…

It’s really hard to figure out what kind of life insurance I’m supposed to buy. My mom and I have been talking a lot about getting life insurance lately, but I just don’t know anything about it. My mom talked to a guy that works for a really big life insurance company, but he wasn’t even much help. I looked on the website to see what the company had to offer, but that wasn’t much help either. The guy from the life insurance company was supposed to send us information in the mail to answer our questions but he never sent it.

I don’t think I want to deal with a company that has employees like that. If he can’t even be so bothered to send us information, how can we trust him to tell us everything we need to know about life insurance rates and policies. He made us feel like we weren’t even worth the bother. Hopefully I can find a better company. Or at least a better agent in the near future.
