Enjoy The Day

I was sitting here eating my Thanksgiving dinner and I remembered that I never wished my readers a Happy Thanksgiving, so I wanted to do so now. I hope you all have had a wonderful day. My day was pretty good so I can’t complain. We made lots of delicious food and had a lot of laughs throughout the day. It was truly a great day. I’m definitely thankful for that!

I’m also thankful that (as far as I know) my family members have made it to and from their holiday destinations safely. I’m always worried about them being on the road during the holidays when people are being reckless on the roads. I can only imagine how many people will need car, truck and RV repairs tomorrow because they’ve had an accident. I want everyone to be safe out there. Drive slow! There’s no hurry. :)

Unpredictable Weather

The weather where I live has been so crazy lately. From hurricanes, to snow, to 70 degree days in November, to crazy windstorms…I never know what to expect. Yesterday we had some kind of crazy wind storm. It was so windy around here that everything was just blowing away. The door to our roof blew open so hard that it completely broke at the bottom. The guy just came today to replace it.

Let’s not even talk about the garbage cans! They had to be tied down with rope to keep from blowing down the street. With wind like that we could have used a few stainless steel barrels as garbage cans. I don’t think those would have blown away like our plastic garbage cans. I’m curious what the weather will be like in December. I know one thing, I’m sure I’ll be surprised.

Lost Lashes

I don’t know whether or not this is a problem that many people experience, but I lose at least two eyelashes every day. For the past few years I’ve just been having such a huge issue with my eyelashes. I’m constantly getting lashes in my eyes and having to pull them out. That is so painful! I also have a problem with the hair from my head falling in my eyes, so I didn’t really think it was my eyelashes at first, but then I realized that my eyelashes were hanging down and sticking me in the eye. Whenever I try to pull the eyelash out it would come off in my hand. That happens so much!

I don’t know anything about eyelash growth and loss, so I’m not sure if that’s normal or not, but it sure is annoying. My eyelashes seem thin but I still have a lot of them so they must grow back pretty fast. I just wonder why they keep falling out and if there is anything I can do to prevent that from happening.

Still Finding Myself

I really envy people who have known what they wanted to be since they were little. Most kids have a list of about 20 things they want to be when they grow up, but there are those rare few that know what they want to be and they grow up and become that. That’s awesome to be so passionate about one thing. I’ve never been like that. Even as a child I really didn’t fantasize about what I wanted to be once I became an adult. I never said, I want to be a nurse, or a teacher, or have Pharmacist Jobs.

I may have thought about those things as many children do, but the thought never lasted long enough to spark anything. I guess that’s why I’m still trying to “find myself”. It would be so much easier if there was one profession I was really passionate about because then I could pursue it wholeheartedly.
