Perfect Love Seat For My Small Apartment

Guest post written by Robin Hughes

When I downsized to a smaller apartment so that I could live by myself, I expected to be able to just take all of my furniture and stick it in my new apartment. Boy was I wrong. My couch fit, but just barely. I didn’t have room for a coffee table too, so I decided that I needed to get rid of that stuff and downsize.

So I went online on Facebook and Craigslist to see if I could find someone who would even come and pick it up at my place. While I was online browsing some swapping sites I came across some information about wireless internet companies and after I looked through it a little bit, I decided to sign up for an internet plan with one of the companies.

I even found a smaller loveseat on Craigslist that was only like $100. Just within my price range. So I got my boyfriend to go and pick up the couch with his truck and drop it off at my place in exchanged for a home cooked meal.

Motivation To Drive

I usually never give much thought to the fact that I don’t know how to drive, but lately I really have been wishing I had a car. I never wish that I could drive, just that I had a car. I guess in my mind someone would be driving me around in my own car. Or something. The times that make me wish I had a car are when my mom has to catch a cab to the hospital for an appointment or something important like that.

I would probably face my fears and learn how to drive if I thought that I could afford a car. I guess I see no point in getting a license if I still won’t be able to drive. Maybe one day I’ll find a used car and it will motivate me to drive. If I can come across deals on honda generators, why not a deal on a Honda? :)

Overwhelming Task

My mom has been giving a lot of thought to applying for social security insurance since she’s been sick, but it hasn’t been an easy task. I never realized how hard it is to get all of that stuff done. I really want her to be able to get accepted for social security since she doesn’t have medical insurance. Sometimes things are just so hard. It’s overwhelming trying to get everything in order when your health isn’t great. You would think they would make things a little easier for people.

Now I see what my grandma had to deal with when she was doing the paperwork for the Medicare part D plan. I feel sorry for people who don’t have someone helping them. At least there are places like Allsup that will help you with the process. My mom might have to go that route if things don’t work out this way.

Internet Business?

I really want to start a business. I know now is definitely not the time to be starting a business, but I want to start something small and simple. An Internet business. I’ve been heavy into the Internet for several years and I know a lot about building websites and how to promote and market things. I also know that there’s a market for what I want to sell. It’s just such a risk with the way the economy is right now. But then again, people always find a way to pay for things that they really want.

I have to really give it more thought. I know if I do start this little business it will cost me some money upfront. I’ll have to buy a new website and possibly find someone who knows a lot about E-commerce. Plus I’ll need look into to business cards printing so I can buy business cards to give to the people I come across offline. I have a lot to think about!
