Hard To Believe

Last year (ha ha) my cousin came to visit and she was limping really bad. My grandmother had already told me what happened to her, but my grandmother is an old woman who happens to be really bad at passing on information, so I rarely take her word for anything. Anyway, I asked my cousin what happened to her and she replied “I got hit by a van.” I initially didn’t believe that when my grandmother told me because it just doesn’t sound right to me, for reasons you guys wouldn’t understand!

Needless to say, my cousin has mentioned seeing a lawyer who wants her to get into therapy. I’m honestly a little skeptical. Mostly because me cousin’s limp seems to come and go. LOL. I really hope she’s not lying about being hit or lying about the injuries she’s sustained. If she is being sincere though, I hope she can get great help. This is kind of random, but I was looking at this website about Raleigh lawyers and it reminded me of this story. I wish you guys a belated happy new year! Don’t forget, look both ways when crossing the street!!

She’s Not Invincible

My grandmother is almost 70 years old and is the picture of health. In fact, I think she may be healthier than all of her grandchildren. I’m not sure what it is, but she is just blessed with great health. Earlier this month she started getting really bad headaches and also painful back and neck pain. It was so strange to see her sleeping a lot and not really being herself. She went to the hospital and they gave her some pain killers and told her to go see the doctor. (A lot of help, huh?)

Anyway,  she went to the doctor and they diagnosed her with a pinched nerve. After a few days of relaxation and taking the pills the doctor gave her she felt much better. I’m glad she only had a pinched nerve and not stenosis of the spine. She would have had to go through a lot more than what she went through. And trust me, for someone who never gets sick, that’s a lot of pain.

Cute Scrubs

I used to think working in a hospital would be so awesome until my aunt started telling us about how hectic her job is. I can’t remember what her exact position is, but I know she’s not a doctor or nurse. She mostly takes blood, does lab work and things of that nature. She says it’s a very stressful job at times, but she loves it and she’s good at it. Besides, I think she looks really cute in her scrubs. She wears scrubs with all kinds of little characters and designs on them. I never knew that scrubs could be so stylish and attractive.

When I was little, everyone I knew that worked in nursing used to just wear boring blue, green or white scrubs. There was no variety at all! Judging by my aunt’s scrubs and the discount scrubs I see online, things have changed a lot. You can now get scrubs in so many styles. It’s crazy! And they all look great. That’s a plus because even if you work in a hospital you still want to be fashionable.
