Small Trucks Only

When I was younger I used to be so afraid of big trucks. My aunt’s father was a truck driver since before I was born and he always drove a huge truck. I used to like to get in the truck and check out the bed and other cool stuff that he had in there, but I never really liked riding in it. I rode in it a few times and I was always afraid that it would crash or tip over. I guess I was a worrywart even as a child.

Honestly, even though I’m in my late twenties I still don’t like riding in huge trucks! I don’t mind getting in a truck and checking out the waterproof trucker radio, bed, GPS, two-way radios and things like that, but I definitely don’t want to go for a ride in a big truck no time soon. Some things never change!

Our Three Athletes

School is finally back in session for two of my three cousins who start high school this year. They are all so excited. I remember the first day of high school. I definitely wasn’t as excited as they are. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t like it either. Besides being excited about starting a new chapter in their lives, I think they are all excited about sports. All three played football in grammar school, so I know they are looking forward to joining a high school team and winning a few sport trophies.

I think high school sports are so great for teens. Especially boys. They learn so much about life and get to build great friendships. I hope my cousins enjoy this awesome time in their lives and make the best of it. I also hope they win a few championships! Who knows, they may even get scholarships for college one day.

Have Another Scoop

I am so exhausted right now. I was entertaining my family all day today and they took so much out of me. Luckily, they have all gone home for the night. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family a lot and most of the time I really enjoy their company, but sometimes they can be really overwhelming because it’s so many of them. They are a huge strain on our patience and our pockets.

Speaking of them being a strain on our pockets. They can go through ice and beverages like there is no tomorrow!! My aunt always gets this huge 32 ounce cup and fills it full with ice. She does that at least twice when she’s here. She might as well get one of those big ice scoops that they use for scooping up ice in bars and stuff! I never thought I’d need bar supplies in my home, but that thing would definitely come in handy for those ice eaters.

The Cutest Nursing Scrubs!!

My mother has been in the nursing field for over 15 years now and she really loves her job. I think she loves it just as much today as she did when she started working at her job. One thing she loves the most is the freedom that she has with her wardrobe. When she started her job she could only wear white. Now they allow her to wear anything she wants. So if she wants to buy cheap scrub sets in colors like purple and blue she can.

I was browsing http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs/ and they have scrub sets in the cutest colors ever. My mom would freak if she saw the stuff they have on that site. Not only do they have lilac scrubs, they also have eggplant scrubs! As someone who loves purple I’m sure she would want both colors.

It might sound a little crazy, but to be honest, I wouldn’t mind a pair of those pink sorbet scrubs that Blue Sky Scrubs sell. I’m not in nursing so I would have to wear my scrubs as pajamas or something! I would love that though.
