Winter Cleaning

I’ve been trying to get a head start on spring cleaning but it’s been such a hassle. I feel so overwhelmed by the number of things that I have to do. It’s stressful! Now I see why a lot of people do spring cleaning every year. It’s so much easier to get rid of a little bit of stuff every year, than a lot of stuff every few years. At the rate I’m going, it will take me until spring to finish everything I have to do. But I really love the idea of purging everything and creating a whole new space. I need that bad!

I envy people who have the help of house cleaning services holly springs NC to get their homes clean. That’s what I need! A reliable company to come in and clean this whole house from top to bottom. Unless you’re a person who gets enjoyment out of cleaning, why wouldn’t you want to pay a professional to do all the cleaning at once. That beats doing a little bit each day.

Living On Logs

I know this may sound weird, but I’ve always wanted to live in a log cabin. I don’t even know why, I just do. I think this desire started a few years ago when I watched this special about extreme homes on HGTV. Ever since then I’ve always wanted to live in one of those. I remember years ago when I used to watch old reruns of ‘Coach’, they also had a log cabin on there. I used to just want to stay in one during a vacation, but once I saw that you could live in them all year long I changed my mind.

I don’t think I’ll ever get to live in a log cabin any time soon, so I’d definitely settle for a log bed. I love those! I also love the barn beds that look just like the barn house doors. How cool would it be to sleep on those! That seems a little more realistic than living in a log cabin. Especially in this city. LOL

Unpredictable Weather

The weather where I live has been so crazy lately. From hurricanes, to snow, to 70 degree days in November, to crazy windstorms…I never know what to expect. Yesterday we had some kind of crazy wind storm. It was so windy around here that everything was just blowing away. The door to our roof blew open so hard that it completely broke at the bottom. The guy just came today to replace it.

Let’s not even talk about the garbage cans! They had to be tied down with rope to keep from blowing down the street. With wind like that we could have used a few stainless steel barrels as garbage cans. I don’t think those would have blown away like our plastic garbage cans. I’m curious what the weather will be like in December. I know one thing, I’m sure I’ll be surprised.

Great Soap

In recent years, I would pretty much buy any soap that was on sale and wouldn’t think twice about it. That was until I tried glycerine soap. That stuff is awesome! I typically buy both liquid body wash and bar soap, but I do tend to favor bar soap more because it lathers better on the rag. The only disappointment I ever had with bar soap is that it dries my skin out more than liquid soap and leaves a weird film on my skin. That was until I switched to glycerine soap! Not only does that soap not leave a film, but it also doesn’t break like regular bar soap.

My only complaint is that I wish they would make glycerine soap in more scents because I get bored easily. If I had Aquatell.com water softeners in my house I would probably love bar soap even more because I wouldn’t have to worry about hard water. Hard water is extremely drying too. Especially when you’re using bar soap.
