Buying Books Online…

I love shopping for books online. I can always find great deals on books. It’s also easier to find books that are out of print or out of stock at local libraries and bookstores. I’ve purchased more books off the Internet than I ever have from bookstores. It’s so convenient. I also like that I can buy used books in addition to new books. If I have a choice of the two I’ll usually pick the used book because it seems like the “green” thing to do.

The last book I purchased was from Amazon books. It was a gift for my mom. I bought it “Like New” since she only wanted it for the purpose of ripping it apart and making copies to share certain study lessons with family and friends. I paid about $10 less than the price printed on the book and it was in perfect condition. You can’t beat that! Whether you purchase Amazon books or not, I’m sure you’ve probably seen for yourself how beneficial it is to buy books online!

New Law Knowledge!

I consider myself to be a person who has a great deal of knowledge concerning various topics, but it’s amazing how much more you can learn every day. Especially on the Internet. Sometimes I just click links or read things to find out what’s going on in the world and I’m exposed to so much. Some good, some bad of course. Today I saw the term “Jones Act” and I wasn’t really familiar with it, so of course I went on a hunt to find out exactly what it was.

There was a whole page about it and its relation to marines. But apparently the benefits of the Jones Act are really complex, according to what I was reading. They even urge marines to contact a Jones Act lawyer specifically if they want to file a claim under the legislation. That’s good advice. I wouldn’t want a lawyer who isn’t familiar with the Jones Act handling my case, you know?

Sliding Pictures!

I’ve been messing around with some of the features on my computer and decided to add some fun stuff to my desktop. So far I only have a few gadgets, but I intend to add some more soon. I’m not really big on pointless gadgets because I don’t want unnecessary things to slow my computer down, but I do like have things like the calendar and weather. The weather gadget is especially helpful. I’m thinking about adding a gadget to take down notes and maybe a news feed or two. Another gadget I really like is the picture slideshow. That rocks!

I’ve been considering adding a picture slideshow for when my computer is in sleep mode. It’s nice when a picture of someone I love randomly pops up. I think I’ll take time this weekend and add a few pictures to a separate folder so they can rotate. I spend so much time on my computer every day and it’s nice to have gadgets and features that make it more enjoyable!

The Internet Rocks!

I come across so many helpful things online on a daily basis. Of course I also come across a lot of weirdness and nonsense online as well, but I wouldn’t trade the Internet for anything. It’s probably the only thing I wouldn’t want to live without. I can live without a television, a radio and even a phone, but not the Internet. Probably because I can still have a piece of all of those things with a computer. So convenient!

The Internet has really helped me out when it comes to dieting. I’ve found so much information on the Internet. I’ve also learned about a lot of things that I never really even had interest in, such as diet pills. I know so much more about diet pills because of the Internet. How else would I have known what apidexin was if I didn’t see it online? The ‘Net rocks!
