Lil Miss Finds: Free YouTube Videos

It’s possible that I’m the last person on earth to know about this, but I doubt it so I’m going to share. Did you guys know that YouTube has a whole free movies section?! I knew they had the movie rental section, but I had no idea they had a section where you can watch movies for free. That’s pretty cool! Of course there are tons of sites online that let you watch way better movies for free, but I just discovered this so I had to tell someone! I really don’t have any interest in the movies that they offer, but it’s cool to know that they have this feature. I’m going to keep them in mind in the future. If you haven’t checked it out, do so! You may like something on the list.

I Miss Blogs

I miss the old days when I first started blogging. I used to love being on the Internet and updating my blogs. I met so many cool people and used to enjoy reading their blogs as well. Now things are kind of lame. Nothing is the same anymore. I think Facebook and Twitter has a lot to do with that. Everyone is into microblogging now. No one wants to spend the time writing a decent blog when you can say everything you want in 140 characters or less. I would even settle for a decent Tumblr blog right about now.

I guess I will always be the type of person who would rather read a personal blog than a status update. I’m also the same kind of person who would probably install seo quake on Firefox so I can read the stats of my blogs. Who knows, maybe another new trend will start soon and change things again.

Quilts Online

Guest post written by Werner Rogers

I wanted to start my business on a shoestring budget since I was a stay at home mom, but that was easier said than done. I planned to sell homemade quilts from my home, but the thing I needed to really get up and running was my website. I did a search on DomainNames.com in order to find one that would work for my business then spent weeks learning HTML so I could design my site myself. Once I had a bare-bones template up and running I got to work making quilts. After all, that was what my business was all about!

I’ve finally gained some traction and have a few loyal customers. Hopefully word of mouth marketing will work for me since I’ve got nothing to spend on advertising. I’m banking on the quality of my work really setting me apart but I’ll have to invest a little soon into my website to make it transactional for my customers. One small step at a time is what I keep telling myself!

Choosing A Major

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about going back to school for a degree. I’m not really sure what I want to study though. I have so many interests, but I couldn’t imagine doing any of them full time for a living. I don’t want to waste time and money by taking classes I can’t use. If I register for an online university it would be really convenient and I could keep my day job.

If I could have things my way I would get a degree in child psychology or something. I have a passion for that. I also love art and journalism, but I’m not sure which online university specializes in those things. I wouldn’t mind working in a hospital either. I have so many options, but I’m not sure what’s really best for me. Before I decide to register for an online university I have to give it a lot more thought.
