Lil Miss : Recommends

I need a long vacation. I’ve had a pretty rough month and I could use a whole month to recover. Too bad I don’t have the extra money or time to go on a vacation for a month. I honestly would settle for being alone for a month. It would be nice to just check into a hotel for a whole month by myself. I just need a break from everyone and everything so that I can collect my thoughts and recover emotionally and mentally from everything that has been going on. Maybe I’ll just have to lock myself in my room.

It would be nice to go on a long road trip. I’ve never been on a real road trip. The furthest I’ve been on a road trip is a few states over. I would love to go cross country in a motor home with my mom. That would be fun. We would have to have someone else drive though because I don’t drive and she doesn’t like driving big vehicles. And neither of us have a motor home or motorhome insurance. LOL. Plus if someone else drives we would get a chance to kick back and relax.

I could really use a vacation right now. My life has been so overwhelming lately. I’m not complaining too much, because it could definitely be a lot worse. I’m grateful that it isn’t. I wish things were a little easier though. But of course that wouldn’t be life, now would it? Today is Thursday so at least it’s almost the end of the week. I’m looking forward to that. I don’t think I’m going to have too great of a weekend though, because I have to work Saturday and Sunday. Grrr. I’m happy I do have a job that I like a lot. After losing my last job because of the recession and a slow down of work availability I’m not complaining about this job for any reason!! But I would like to book one of those orlando vacations for next weekend or something. Just for a little rest!

It’s really hard not having a full-time job right now. It’s amazing how frequently you find yourself needing money when you don’t have any. When I was a little more financially secure it didn’t seem as if I had as many bills as I have now. I buy a lot less things now than I did before, and I’ve made a lot of concessions in my life, but it seems like I still can’t get ahead. I guess it’s because I’m pretty much living off of my savings. What little I have left. I really hope the job market improves soon because I can’t seem to find any good work. I’ve applied for several jobs but the competition is so steep. I can’t seem to get a leg up.

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to moving, but that’s going to have to wait until I can get a job and save some money. I hope that the economy is a little better whenever I do move. I don’t want to have to go from being stressed over a New Jersey and New York Job Search, to being stressed over a  job search in whatever state I choose to move to. I’d like to be able to move and find a job quickly. I don’t want to be put in this position ever again.

Happy Monday. I don’t know how great of a day this is going to be because it’s supposed to be a scorcher. It’s going to be nearly one hundred degrees, hot and extremely humid. I’m not looking forward to that at all. It pretty much was the same way all weekend and the meteorologists are predicting that it will be extremely hot and humid for at least the next three days. Oh joy! I know a lot of people are happy about that, but I’m not. I’ve never been a fan of hot weather. If I wanted to deal with temperatures this hot I would move to Florida, Texas or Arizona.

I’m so happy that the Summer is winding down though. It’s already the middle of August which means we wont be having too many more hot days. I’ll be glad when the Summer leaves and Fall comes. I feel bad for anyone driving around today with no air conditioner in their car. That’s probably worse than having no air conditioner in the house. Trust me, that’s bad. When I buy a car, I’m making sure it has an AC. That’s not as important as finding cheap insurance quotes, but it’s definitely on the list. I could never drive in this heat!
