Lil Miss : Recommends

Happy August!!! I’m so happy that August is here. That means that Summer is almost over. I know most of you are probably thinking “booooo”. But I hate the Summer. Maybe it’s because I was born in the coldest month of the year. Either way, I’m glad that these days of high temperatures and humidity are winding down. With the exception of the heat, it’s been a pretty good Summer thus far. I’ve really been enjoying my time alone and with my friends and family. The only disappointing thing is the boredom. These past few month have been very uneventful.

I was hoping to have a vacation this Summer. Or at least go to some amusement parks and museums. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do one of those things before this year is out. I’d really love to take a vacation. I’m not sure to where, but I definitely don’t want to visit any beaches or places with a lot of action. I’m not really into those types of things. To me, Gatlinburg vacations seem a lot more appealing. I like visiting places that offer fun and culture. Oh, and cool weather! That’s a must.

I’ve never been to Colorado before, but it’s actually a place that I wouldn’t mind visiting. In all honesty, it’s not on the top of my list of places I’d like to visit, but I wouldn’t mind visiting there. I live in a very busy city and there’s nothing but noise, pollution, smog, etc. I’ve always pictured Colorado as a place with tons of fresh air to go around. LOL. That’s horrible when you want to plan your vacation based on fresh air.

So far, this has been a great Summer!!! The weather has been incredible. Most days I can even get away with having no air on at all. I just open the window and I’m fine. I love it! It’s like there’s an air conditioner outside. Especially at night. It’s actually enjoyable to be outside in July. Who knew! If I had a car with a drop-top I would definitely be on the highway cruising around. When I was younger I used to love to ride on the highway when it was really windy because the wind would always take my breath away. As a child that was fun for some reason.

Now that I’m an adult, I would just like to feel the wind on my skin and blowing through my hair. That’s the best feeling! Maybe I’m odd. Most people I know have wind deflectors on their cars and they try to avoid the heavy winds. I guess those come in handy as well. When I’m all dressed up and my hair is looking fancy, the wind is my enemy!

My best friend has been talking about getting a motorcycle for a few years now but luckily he hasn’t followed through with that threat yet. I think motorcycles are awesome…. for some people. Not for my friend though. He’s one of those drivers that you see every day who are in a rush to get nowhere fast. I can’t imagine him riding a motorcycle. I would be in fear for him all of the time. He’s definitely a lot safer behind the two or four doors of a car.

I think there’s a particular type of person that motorcycles are made for. They’re not just for everyone. Most of the people I know that ride them are risk takers. They like excitement. I can’t even picture my friend with a motorcycle jack trying to change a tire, let alone riding a motorcycle on the road!
