Multiple Backups

My computer has been causing me so many problems lately. I’ve had to do system restore about 3 or 4 times in the past few weeks alone. I’ve never had to do that before. All because Windows installed updates for my computer and they caused my computer not to work properly. I’m glad that I bought a new external hard drive. I really didn’t want to pay 100$ for it, but I think it was a good investment. Especially since my computer has been acting so unpredictable lately. I would just feel more comfortable knowing that my important files are backed up in case something happens to my system.

I have to remind myself to back my stuff up in more than one place as well. I don’t want to just keep my important files on the external hard drive in case something happens to that. I think I’m going to back some things up on two different hard drives as well as do an online backup. That may seem a bit excessive, but I think it’s better to be safe than sorry.

No Publicity Is Bad Publicity…

I can’t believe it’s Wednesday and people are still talking about the American Music Awards that took place on Sunday. Personally, I thought the awards were pretty lame. They always are. In fact, most television shows are lame. Which is probably why I haven’t watched a television show in months. I did like a few of the performances from the awards, but nothing really impressed me. Everything was kind of dull and repetitive. Yawn. And the two performances that got everyone talking were lame to me as well.

Of course everyone had an opinion on the Adam Lambert performance. I didn’t care much for it or about it. Publicity stunts leave a bad taste in my mouth. I did feel bad that Jennifer Lopez fell during her performance of her song “Louboutins”. :( She’s too old to be falling. She shouldn’t have jumped off that guy. I can see falling because she was wearing Louboutin shoes, but falling while wearing sneakers. Strange. Almost as strange as not wearing Christian Louboutin shoes while singing a song about Christian Louboutin shoes. Hmm!

A Road Trip Would Be Nice!

I need a long vacation. I’ve had a pretty rough month and I could use a whole month to recover. Too bad I don’t have the extra money or time to go on a vacation for a month. I honestly would settle for being alone for a month. It would be nice to just check into a hotel for a whole month by myself. I just need a break from everyone and everything so that I can collect my thoughts and recover emotionally and mentally from everything that has been going on. Maybe I’ll just have to lock myself in my room.

It would be nice to go on a long road trip. I’ve never been on a real road trip. The furthest I’ve been on a road trip is a few states over. I would love to go cross country in a motor home with my mom. That would be fun. We would have to have someone else drive though because I don’t drive and she doesn’t like driving big vehicles. And neither of us have a motor home or motorhome insurance. LOL. Plus if someone else drives we would get a chance to kick back and relax.

Social Networking Pays Off

I was just reading this article on MSN about this guy who was put in jail for almost 2 weeks, because they accused him of robbing someone, but he was later acquitted after his lawyer was able to prove that he was chatting with his girlfriend on Facebook when the robbery took place. How crazy is that. I’ve always suspected that some people would die without Facebook, but who would have guessed they could also be in jail if it wasn’t for it.

According to the article this is the first time someone has ever used a Facebook update as an alibi. I’m sure it will only be a matter of time before people start abusing this. Who’s to say that someone can’t have a friend live chat on Facebook pretending to be them while they’re out doing something they shouldn’t be doing? I’m happy for the guy that was saved by Facebook though. He’s very lucky! I’m sure the next person may have a harder time proving their case.
