Lil Miss : Recommends

I hate turning on lights. I’d never use the light in my bedroom if I didn’t have to. I almost never turn it on unless it’s absolutely too dark to see and the computer light is just not enough. I think my hatred of lights comes from the fact that I have bad migraines and the light makes them worse. We also have really bad lighting in my home. The lighting in the kitchen is my least favorite. I can’t even remember what they call they type of lighting that we have in there, but it seems a little outdated. I never see lighting like that in newer homes and I see why.

The lighting in my room is pretty great but it’s much too bright. It’s perfect for reading and doing things of that nature, but it’s definitely not the type of light you want to have shining down on you when you’re just hanging out or on the computer. It’s blinding. This house could benefit from Dolan Designs lighting. I’d like a new ceiling light or chandelier and we can definitely use new kitchen and bathroom lighting!

I was talking to my mother yesterday and we were fantasizing about how nice it would be to have a new house. We’re both pretty tired of where we live now and it would be great to have a different house in a different state. I would really love the change of scenery and atmosphere. I think the longer I live here the more I hate it. It’s hard to believe that I actually loved this house when we moved in ten years ago. Now I can’t even stand to be around here.

The house itself is a problem, but it’s also the neighborhood. The property value of my neighborhood has steadily declined over the years and it’s time for us to move on. I’m not sure if it’s a good or bad thing that we don’t really have home insurance because if we did I’m sure we would have to pay a lot living here. It’s that bad!

I’m so happy that Spring is here. I love this time of the year. Spring is the perfect time to plan vacations and do fun things because the weather isn’t too hot or too cold. I love the way the air smells and how nice the flowers look. It’s a beautiful time! I think Spring is also a great time to have barbecues in the back yard of your home. When I was growing up we used to have barbecues every weekend. Even when it was just the family we would put up the grill and cook out in the yard so we could enjoy the weather without being stuck in the house.

Hopefully we can get some new patio furniture this year so we can spend more time outside enjoying the beautiful weather again. It’s been a while since we’ve done that and I really look forward to it this year!!

I’m sitting here at my desk typing in the dark because I don’t want to get up and turn my bedroom light on. It’s not because I’m lazy, it’s because my bedroom light is over my head and it’s way too bright for my eyes right now. Whenever I use the computer at night I have the light off for that reason. I know it’s probably bad for my eyes but I don’t have any other choice. I’ve been meaning to buy myself a small desk lamp but I still haven’t gotten around to it.

I was checking out some lamps online and I came across these really cute Moroccan lamps. I saw this Whimsical Red Lamp that I would love to have. It’s sooo gorgeous. If I was to buy that lamp I would definitely have to do a bedroom makeover. Those lamps are so stylish and colorful and my bedroom is so dull and plain. I need to use one of those Moroccan lamps as my color inspiration and brighten things up in here!
