I’ve been a Johnny Depp fan for several years now and I’m crazy about many of his movies. I love that he always chooses movies that seem to be made for him, yet are so unique. The same goes for his newest movie Sweeney Tood. This movie comes out on December 21, 2007 and is sure to be a Johnny Depp Classic. You can visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site for more information.

Whenever someone mentions Johnny Depp, for most people the Pirates of the Caribbean movies usually come to mind. For me it’s Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They are both totally different movies, but they’re both classic Depp.

My introduction to Johnny Depp came with the movie Edward Scissorhands. It’s a fantasy film, but yet it’s something that I can relate to. Edward is such a quirky, yet lovable character. For instance in one scene Esmerelda says to Edward “I can’t believe you sheep have strayed so far from the path of righteousness!” and Edward replies “We’re not sheep!!”. Classic.

Another of my favorite Johnny Depp movies is also directed by Tim Burton. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a movie that people of any age can enjoy. It’s visually stunning and in true Depp fashion, perfectly quirky. A cute scene in the movie is when Willy Wonka asks Mr. Teavee, “If you had to choose only one half of your son, which one would it be?” Mr. Teavee replies “What kind of question is that?” Willy then says “No need to snap. Just a question!”

Although I love many of Depp’s movies, I’m going to have to go with the classic Edward Scissorhands. It doesn’t get better than that. I’m looking forward to seeing Sweeney Todd though. I’m sure that movie will be a classic as well. Don’t forget to visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace to find out more about the movie and make sure to go see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street when it hits theaters on December 21, 2007!!

I’m sure by now most of you have heard the buzz about the new Johnny Depp movie Sweeney Todd. Sweeney Todd is Tim Burton’s latest film and you can visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site to find out more about this cool new movie that’s coming out on December 21st. I’ve been a Johnny Depp fan for a few years now, so I’m really interested in this movie. I’m also interested in the promotions that they have going on for Sweeney Todd. My favorite is the “Confess to the Demon Barber” Confessional.

I’ve been a good girl lately, so I didn’t have much to confess, but I did use my confessional to come clean about a certain prank that I recently pulled on my arch nemesis. It involved booklets on controlling bed wetting, a chat room, several rumors and his cell phone number. Lets just say that he’s sitting somewhere really embarrassed with his phone on silent. *evil grin* I was feeling kind of guilty about my sinister deed, but I feel much better now.

If you have a secret you’re just dying to confess, check out Sweeney Todd’s Confessional. You can call, film or write your confessional. It’s all up to you. Christmas is coming up and unless you’re looking forward to a lump of coal for being so naughty, I say you start confessing. And don’t forget to visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace and go see it when it’s released in theaters on December 21st!!!

I was just checking out the trailer for The Mist by Stephen King. It’s a new movie that’s coming out and it’s really scary. It’s interesting because most horror movies I’ve seen involve one or two people or maybe a group of friends. Judging by the trailer for The Mist, this movie seems to involve the whole town. It makes me think about what I’d do if something like this happened in my town. I’d probably be the person hiding behind everyone else. You never know what you’re made of until you’re tested.

I remember a few years ago I was driving on the highway with someone and suddenly the breaks on the car started to give out. At the time we were heading to the car shop, but I guess it was worse than we thought. I immediately started panicking and screaming that we were going to die. But they stayed really calm and just tried different ways of getting the car to slow down. Eventually we were able to make it to the car shop without dying. We crashed into the building, but we were fine.

It’s funny because I thought I was so much tougher than this person, but when it came down to it, I freaked out and they were the one who stepped up and handled the situation. I guess my true nature is a scaredy cat and theirs isn’t. It’s pretty ironic. To see who takes control and saves the day in The Mist, you’re going to have to catch it in theaters.

I blogged the other day about some of the new movies coming to theaters this past weekend and one of the movies that I blogged about was “The Heartbreak Kid“. This movie which was a reunion of Ben Stiller and the Farrelly brothers was panned by a lot of critics, but that’s not really unusual for a Farrelly brothers film. Most of the time critics hate on them, but movie goers still rush to the theaters to see their films. This time they didn’t. The Ben Stiller and Farrellys brothers movie only took in about $14 million during its opening weekend. That was only good enough for second place. The movie debuted behind “The Game Plan” which was number one for the second straight week. I guess people just weren’t interested in seeing another silly Ben Stiller movie.
