I like searching the net to find recipes to try out. Lately I’ve been searching for a lot of healthy recipes since I’m trying to eat more sensible meals. If you’ve ever had oysters then you know it’s one of those foods that you either love or hate. It’s also one of those things that you should experience at least once in your life. My first time trying oysters was at a popular restaurant and I enjoyed them a lot. At first I was nervous about the taste, but it was a great experience!

Unfortunately for me I’m one of those people who are at risk when eating raw oysters. That’s why I’m pretty excited about the improved post-harvest process that Gulf Coast oyster processors go through to make sure people like myself can enjoy Gulf oysters. These safer alternatives can make it possible for me to enjoy oysters once again. I’m glad that I discovered the Be Oyster Aware web site because I learned so many things that I never knew. I found this recipe online that said how easy it is to grill chicken. Figuring I needed a more challenging way of cooking chicken I decided to try to grill my chicken in a toaster. Even though a toaster has those grill things inside, clearly a toaster is not the best method of grilling chicken. I really wish I would have just bought some delicious flame-grilled Mexican chicken from El Pollo Loco instead of ruining my toaster. The chicken didn’t even cook!! Oh well, I know next time. El Pollo Loco is the way to go.
