Lil Miss : Recommends

It’s really hard not having a full-time job right now. It’s amazing how frequently you find yourself needing money when you don’t have any. When I was a little more financially secure it didn’t seem as if I had as many bills as I have now. I buy a lot less things now than I did before, and I’ve made a lot of concessions in my life, but it seems like I still can’t get ahead. I guess it’s because I’m pretty much living off of my savings. What little I have left. I really hope the job market improves soon because I can’t seem to find any good work. I’ve applied for several jobs but the competition is so steep. I can’t seem to get a leg up.

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to moving, but that’s going to have to wait until I can get a job and save some money. I hope that the economy is a little better whenever I do move. I don’t want to have to go from being stressed over a New Jersey and New York Job Search, to being stressed over a  job search in whatever state I choose to move to. I’d like to be able to move and find a job quickly. I don’t want to be put in this position ever again.

Happy Monday. I don’t know how great of a day this is going to be because it’s supposed to be a scorcher. It’s going to be nearly one hundred degrees, hot and extremely humid. I’m not looking forward to that at all. It pretty much was the same way all weekend and the meteorologists are predicting that it will be extremely hot and humid for at least the next three days. Oh joy! I know a lot of people are happy about that, but I’m not. I’ve never been a fan of hot weather. If I wanted to deal with temperatures this hot I would move to Florida, Texas or Arizona.

I’m so happy that the Summer is winding down though. It’s already the middle of August which means we wont be having too many more hot days. I’ll be glad when the Summer leaves and Fall comes. I feel bad for anyone driving around today with no air conditioner in their car. That’s probably worse than having no air conditioner in the house. Trust me, that’s bad. When I buy a car, I’m making sure it has an AC. That’s not as important as finding cheap insurance quotes, but it’s definitely on the list. I could never drive in this heat!

Happy August!!! I’m so happy that August is here. That means that Summer is almost over. I know most of you are probably thinking “booooo”. But I hate the Summer. Maybe it’s because I was born in the coldest month of the year. Either way, I’m glad that these days of high temperatures and humidity are winding down. With the exception of the heat, it’s been a pretty good Summer thus far. I’ve really been enjoying my time alone and with my friends and family. The only disappointing thing is the boredom. These past few month have been very uneventful.

I was hoping to have a vacation this Summer. Or at least go to some amusement parks and museums. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do one of those things before this year is out. I’d really love to take a vacation. I’m not sure to where, but I definitely don’t want to visit any beaches or places with a lot of action. I’m not really into those types of things. To me, Gatlinburg vacations seem a lot more appealing. I like visiting places that offer fun and culture. Oh, and cool weather! That’s a must.

I’ve never been to Colorado before, but it’s actually a place that I wouldn’t mind visiting. In all honesty, it’s not on the top of my list of places I’d like to visit, but I wouldn’t mind visiting there. I live in a very busy city and there’s nothing but noise, pollution, smog, etc. I’ve always pictured Colorado as a place with tons of fresh air to go around. LOL. That’s horrible when you want to plan your vacation based on fresh air.
