Mobile Talk
Date : December 21st, 2007I’m really excited about the holiday season and I’m looking forward to talking to all of my friends and family from around the world. The one thing I’m not looking forward to is the ridiculously high calling rates that companies charge for international calling. That’s why I’m so excited about a great new service called Mobile Talk. Mobile Talk is a new mobile voice over IP service that’s being offered by the leader in Internet phone service, Packet 8.
Mobile Talk is doing for cellular services what Packet 8 has always done for Internet phone service. Packet 8 gives customers the ability to save more than 90% over other international mobile calling services with its cheap international calling software Mobile Talk. Mobile Talk is an easy and convenient way to save on all international calls because you don’t have to worry about the hassle of remembering PIN numbers or signing up for any data plans.
Mobile Talk by Packet 8 works with your pre-existing cellular plan and reduces all calls made internationally from the United States. I’m excited about Mobile Talk because I can call the United Kingdom for only 2 cents a minute! That beats the 2 dollars a minute that I pay with other services. Calls to places like China, Mexico, Australia and France are also less than 5 cents a minute.
Why keep spending tons of money every month on your international phone calls when you can pay much less with Mobile Talk by Packet 8. Visit the web site today and sign up to start saving.
Are You Afraid Of Halloween?
Date : September 3rd, 2007Have any of you guys seen Halloween the movie? I haven’t seen the movie yet and I’m not sure if I’m going to see it, because I’m a chicken. I’ve seen a few scary movies over my lifetime and I just don’t do well with them at all. I think it all started when I was much younger, watching the Freddy Kruger movies and being scared merciless by my family members. I still shudder at the thought of that movie.
I’ve seen a small portion of the previous Halloween the movie so I’m really interested to see what kind of spin Rob Zombie puts on this new version. I know a little bit about him as a director, so I know this movie is going to be very scary. That’s partially why I haven’t seen it yet. Maybe I’ll get over my fear and see what it’s all about soon, because all of my male friends can’t stop going on about it. I can only imagine how awesome the music in this movie is. It probably has the scariest, most exciting score ever.
The last scary movie that I saw was The Sixth Sense, so you can tell I’m a little behind on the fright fest. I’m sure this movie is much gorier then that movie, so I have to get mentally prepared to see it. Hopefully it’ll still be in all theaters on Halloween!!! I can’t imagine a better time to see the movie!
DVD Round Up
Date : July 31st, 2007As you may already know, Tuesdays are new release days in music and in movies. In a previous entry I told you about the movie 300 coming to DVD today. Well, I was scrolling one of my favorite websites, Amazon.com and i found a bunch of other DVDs that are also being released today. In addition to 300, you can pick up another highly popular release, The Bourne Identity. The Bourne Identity of course stars Matt Damon. I may do a feature about this movie later. You can also pick up Shaun of the Dead {HD DVD), Shooter, Blood Diamond (HD DVD) and even Prince’s movie Purple Rain (HD DVD), which I’ll feature later. As you may notice, a few of these movies are already on DVD, but HD versions are being released now.
The New Jersey Devil
Date : June 6th, 2007I’m not usually one to believe in scary stories and folklore, because I think most of the stories I hear are completely crazy and impossible. The same goes for the story of the New Jersey Devil. New York isn’t that far from New Jersey, so one would probably expect stories like this to freak me out, but they don’t. According to legend, the New Jersey Devil is a creature said to inhabit the Pine Barrens in southern New Jersey. This story supposedly started 18th century and involves a woman named Deborah Smith who immigrated from England to the Pine Barrens in southern New Jersey to marry a vain man named Mr. Leeds, who wanted several heirs to his family name.
After bearing twelve healthy children, she was angry when she became pregnant with her thirteenth child. Out of anger she cursed the unborn child, wishing that it be the Devil’s spawn instead of her husband’s. Her wish was granted. Crazy huh? I think that’s one of the craziest stories I’ve ever heard. I definitely don’t believe it, but it involves New Jersey and England, so I wanted to tell it.
Unlike the character in the 1408 Movie that’s coming out this month, I don’t want to find out whether something like this can happen. I don’t believe it and I’m not changing my mind. If you like scary stuff, I’m sure you’ll love the 1408 Movie because it addresses the supernatural and paranormal. Not to mention it’s based on a novel by Stephen King. Check out the trailer for the movie below.
